Today at approximately 9:00 am I officially ended my second year of college. It's crazy to think that I'm already done with 2 years of schooling. Finals went pretty well some of my science classes were a little tricky so we'll see how well I did when grades are posted. All I know is that I am VERY excited to be done with school for a while. I am really ready for a break from studying, etc. I'm moving out tomorrow morning and haven't even started packing and it's 9:40 pm so I need to get on that.
It was a really crazy day for me today, I had a final at 7:30, then I went and got vaccinations, ate lunch, met with my "little sister" in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program, then nannyed, went out to each at bdubs with my roommmate, did a little shopping at Jordan Creek, lifeguarded, and now I'm on here updated you all!
As I just said I got some vaccinations today at the Polk County Health Department, after going to the wrong building I found it and got in to get shots. I had to get the 2nd of my Hep. A, a typhoid vaccine, and polio vaccination. Shots don't really bother me so it wasn't too big of a deal. One of them (I think the Hep. A) has made my arm really sore though, so I'm not too excited about that. There is also a national shortage of yellow fever vaccines so I'm on the wait list for that one. I also got my prescription for anti-malaria meds. It's crazy that in about a month and a half I'll be on my way to Ethiopia!
To update you on my fundraising I've raised $1629, which is awesome, but I still have $2371 left to raise. I would again like to thank you all for your support and prayers while I'm preparing for my journey. I would just like to ask you to keep my team members in your prayers that they will trust in God to provide for them for the trip. A few haven't gotten anything yet or just have a small amount. I'm just asking you to pray that they wouldn't get discouraged in this process and that they would fully trust in God. Thanks for reading hope you all have a great weekend!
